Awake NY & Happy Socks shine light on an unexpected and understated community of fencers, who highlight New York City as a hub for fencing. The fencers note the sport’s importance of thinking on your feet, agility, and mental toughness, all of which are qualities of a true New Yorker. A portion of all proceeds were donated to the Ali Forney Center.
